270 N. Grove Ave, Elgin, IL 60120 | gailborden.info

Due to our library being named after revolutionary dairy inventor Gail Borden, the equipment and hand tools on display—such as a Dazey churn and Magic marmalade cutter—are the perfect addition to our local historical sweet tooth. Discover how the tools in Baker’s Secrets and Sweet Inventions were once used in order to create ice cream, appealing chocolates, fruit drops and more. Also explore Elgin-based cooking tools—part of the add-on Dairies to Prairies exhibit—courtesy of the Elgin History Museum.
